Our Capabilities

We are able to perform efficiently in-house large scientific and technical calculations and project control tasks with its wide library of scientific programs and computing hardware.

Software

In-house developed software for settlement and bearing capacity analysis

STRUCMARINE ENGINEERING, performs NDT services for the Oil and Gas, Building, Production, Maintenance, Marine and Facilities industries. We have very highly competent, certified, and experienced technicians deployed to client’s facilities.

The following are the various services and tools we deploy:

Ultrasonic Thickness Test (UTT)
We deploy Ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM) machines for non-destructive testing to inspect the metal thickness of steel structures, ship hulls/plating, piping and equipment made of steel. This technology essentially helps in thickness measurement across many industries to monitor corrosion, erosion, and damage to investment. Early detection saves a lot of Opex and Capex.

Ultrasonic Flaw Detector (UFD)
We deploy our UFD machines to detect hidden cracks, voids, porosity, and other internal discontinuities in metals, composites, plastics, and ceramics. Ultrasonic flaw detection is used in any standard engineering material to find hidden cracks, voids, porosity, inclusion, and any form of similar discontinuities in the base material. The unique feature of this machines is that it can be used not only in steel materials but also in flaw detecting in plastics, composites, fiberglass, and ceramics. It utilizes the principle of characterization of the thickness or internal structure of a test piece using high frequency sound waves. In any facility or asset, corrosion or for growth of known flaws can be potentially prevented. Ultrasonic Flaw Detectors are used in a wide range of industries but no limited to Building, Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Medical, Metallurgy, Oil &Gas and Manufacturing.

Schmidt Rebound Hammer Test (SRH)
This tool is used in Non-destructive testing method of concrete which provide a convenient and rapid indication of the compressive strength of the concrete. It is essential a non-intrusive technology in assessing the strength of concrete structures in-situ. It helps to reduce life cycle cost of facility in Asset integrity management.

3D Laser Scanner (3DS)
Laser scanning is a technology that employs lasers to measure an object’s geometry to craft a digital 3D model, it captures three-dimensional data of objects, regardless of their surface features or size. The 3D laser Point cloud will usually be delivered in Recap-Pro format or the format requested by the client and then migrated to CADD tool needed. We have the capability to deliver the start to finish requirement of 3D Laser scanning.

Sonic Echoe & Impulse Response equipment (SEIR)
We have the capability in the deployment of Sonic Echoe & Impulse response equipment which uses the principle of low strain energy in length determination of piles and deep foundation, by recording echoes from a defect or the foundation bottom with nearby receivers mounted. With this technology we can measure the length of pile terminations where there are no as-built dossiers of the facilities and give indications on defect zones along the profile.

Merger Clamp Test (MCT)
At STRUCMARINE, we deploy several electrical and Process Automation instrumentations equipment for the Asset Integrity of facilities. One these is the Merger clamp tester, used for testing the quality of the grounding system critical part of any electrical maintenance program.

Continuity Test (CS)
Electrical Continuity Tester is used in the determination of electrical path continuity between two points and confirmation that an electrical circuit is not abridged. The circuit under test must be completely de-energized prior to connecting the CS.

Insulation Test (IT)
We deploy a very competent technicians to facilities to tests the quality of insulations. Insulation testers use a high voltage, low current DC charge to measure the resistance within wires and motor windings to identify current leakage and faulty or damaged insulation; this could lead to arc faults, blown circuits, and risk of electrical shock and possibly fire.

Earth Test (ET)
Earth testers are used for measuring the resistance of the earth. All equipment and systems to be measured that must be connected to the power system is connected to the earth through the earth electrode. The equipment is very handy and easy to use once calibrated. It’s a safety instrument.

Pulse Eddy Current (PEC)
As part of our asset integrity tools, we deploy PEC in detecting flaws and corrosion in ferrous materials, especially for steel with hidden corrosion under layers of coating, fireproofing, or insulation materials. This is very useful in offshore environment and LNG facilities with cryogenics.
